Yes. You must be a Member to see the BLAST sent to you.

Anyone who is 16 years of age or older can sign up on BLASTabout.

No, never. BLASTabout is always free to our Users and Members.

BLASTabout requires all Members to provide their full date of birth as a safety precaution. A Members' date of birth is never displayed for any other Member or User of the site.

If you have already set up an account with your email address, and you don't remember your password, you simply need to request to your password. Click on Forgot your Password, enter your email address and your password will be emailed to you.

From our Sign Up page, just provide us with your full name; email address or cell phone number, or both; desired password, and date of birth. Please be aware that you can only sign up for one BLASTabout account per email address or cell phone number. For your convenience, email addresses are offered for free by many websites such as Google (Gmail) or Yahoo! (YMail).

Ideally, the password you select should be easy for you to remember but hard for someone else to figure out. For added security, your BLASTabout password should also be different than other passwords that you use on the internet.
- We recommend that you make your password at least 6 characters in length.
- Try to use a complex string of numbers, letters, and punctuation marks.
- You may want to try mixing uppercase and lowercase letters or making your password longer.

No. BLASTabout does not allow you to merge accounts. Please note that maintaining multiple accounts is a violation of BLASTabout's Terms and Conditions of Use.

Account confirmation is designed to protect you. Without a confirmation mechanism in place, it is possible for someone to create an account with your email address and attempt to impersonate you.

Please follow the steps below to resolve this issue:
- Check your email application's spam or junk folder/filter as some emails may be automatically blocked by your ISP (Internet Service Provider).
- Check that you're trying to log in from the exact email address you registered with. A common error is registering with an incorrect email domain (e.g., @gmail.com is not the same as @gmail.net).

Please follow the steps below to resend a verification email to your email address:
- On the home page, in the upper right hand corner, just under the login/BLAST In area, click on the Resend Verification Email link.
- Enter your email address.
- Click Submit for a new verification email to be sent to you.

Please follow the steps below to resolve this issue:
- First, try logging in with the email address you signed up with.
- If you are unable to log in, please copy and paste the full URL (web address) of the link in the confirmation email that you received into your browser.

Quite simply, a BLASTer is a Member of the site. We use the term BLASTer interchangeably with Member.

BLAST In is just our way of saying login.

BLAST Out is just our way of saying logout.

BLAST Feed is a listing of the BLASTs sent to you in chronological order.

BLAST Tracker allows you to track the BLASTs that you have sent. BLAST Tracker gives you the ability to see when you sent a BLAST and to whom, and whether or not the person read the BLAST you sent them.

My BLASTs is a listing of BLASTs that you have sent in their entirety. Think of it as a record or log of the BLASTs that you have sent.

My BLAST Tally allows you to see which types of BLASTs you have received and how many of each. Think of it as a scorecard of the count of BLASTs per category.

A megaBLAST allows you to type in whatever text you want to send or, we like to say, BLAST to the recipient.

A fastBLAST allows you to choose from existing BLAST statements that were created for your enjoyment.

A Free Comment allows you to type in whatever text you want. You have the option to post a Free Comment anonymously or not.

A Comment BLAST is a quick way to comment on a BLAST using simple BLAST statements: Good, Bad or Ugly.

When you click on Agree, your user name and picture will be posted as someone who Agrees with the BLAST. At this time, when agreeing with a BLAST, you cannot choose to be anonymous.

When you click on Disagree, your user name and picture will be posted as someone who Disagrees with the BLAST. At this time, when disagreeing with a BLAST, you cannot choose to be anonymous.

Yes, when you choose to BLAST someone anonymously, the recipient of your BLAST will not know who the BLAST came from. Try it - send one to yourself and see it really is anonymous.

The site is designed to allow a Member to interact anonymously throughout the site. Your anonymity is your choice whenever you send a BLAST or make a comment. Each time you send a BLAST or make a comment, you can choose to do it anonymously, or not - it's always your choice. For your convenience, you can set this preference in your BLAST File on the Privacy tab.

As a Member, we allow you to set up your preferences so that anytime you send a BLAST or post a Comment, it will do so anonymously. When you first sign up, by default, your preference is set to Anonymous for BLASTs and Comments. To change these preferences:
- Go to your BLAST File.
- Click the Privacy tab.
- Uncheck the box 'Always send BLASTs anonymously'.
- Uncheck the box 'Always post Comments anonymously'.
- Click Save to save your changes.

Anyone can search for your name to see if you are a Member on the site. Your name and image are not anonymous in and of themselves. However, if you choose to interact anonymously, Members will not see that it was you who made a given Comment, or, anyone you BLAST anonymously will not know the BLAST was sent by you. Anyone who searches for your name will only know that you are a Member on the site.

Don't respond to that email! BLASTabout will never request your password. BLASTabout does not advise you give your user name, password or login information to anyone for any reason.

We do not have any control over Users or Members who send you a BLAST if they know your email address or your cell phone number. Someone who knows you, and your email address or cell phone number, is choosing to send you a BLAST. The email you are receiving is simply a notification that a BLAST has been sent to you. Your email address is not on a list. This is not SPAM and you do not have to reply or do anything.

If you have received a BLASTabout account confirmation email in error, it's likely that someone has mistakenly attempted to sign up using your email address. Just send us a note at
support@BLASTabout.com and we will look into it.

No.

No. We do not allow Users or Members to view Members' BLAST Files. When performing a search, no additional information is shared to Users or Members other than your name and your picture. If however, you have chosen to be a Fearless Member, your BLAST Feed will be visible to other Fearless Members.

No. The Search function will only search for a Member name or the name of a Public Page. We do not allow BLASTs or Comments to be searched.

In your BLAST Feed, for each BLAST, you have a Show checkbox which indicates whether or not the BLAST can be seen by other Members.
- If you are a Private Member, the Show checkbox will never be enabled; therefore indicating your BLASTs cannot and will not be visible to other Members.
- For Fearless Members, the Show checkbox is automatically checked (and disabled) for fastBLASTs because fastBLASTs are automatically visible to other Fearless Members. In the case of megaBLASTs, if you have checked Show, that megaBLAST will be visible for other Fearless Members to see. If you leave Show unchecked, other Fearless Members will NOT be able to see that megaBLAST.

A Fearless Member has many benefits!
A Fearless Member has the ability to view BLAST Feeds of other Fearless Members - there is a catch though. If you want to view other Fearless Member BLAST Feeds, you must also be willing to show your BLAST Feed to Fearless Members. You can see what people are BLASTing about other Fearless Members and only Fearless Members can see your BLAST Feed; hence the term 'Fearless'.
In addition, a Fearless Member has the ability to follow other Members and to get notifications when those Members you are following receive BLASTs.

You can change your membership preference in your BLAST File. The default preference is a Private Member.
Be warned: If you choose to be a Fearless Member, you will not be able to change back to a Private Member for 15 days (no exceptions).
To change your membership preference:
- Go to your BLAST File.
- Click the Privacy tab.
- Check the box to become a Fearless Member or leave it unchecked and remain a Private Member.
- Click Save to save your changes.

We are an equal opportunity BLAST community. Once you become a Fearless Member, you will be able to view other Members' BLAST Feeds. If you are able to see other Members' BLAST Feeds, you need to allow them to see yours. Being a Fearless Member for just a few minutes, a few hours, or even a few days, just doesn't seem like enough time for other Fearless Members to see your BLAST Feed (afterall you've seen theirs). So, in keeping with a sense of fairness to all, we made it 15 days; no exceptions.

At the bottom of the Comment popup, there is a checkbox to choose whether or not to post your Comment anonymously. When the box is checked, your Comment will be posted anonymously.
As a convenience, you can set your Comment preference in your BLAST File. The default preference is set to Comment anonymously. Setting your preference, still gives you the option to uncheck the box for each individual Comment you make if you prefer to not post anonymously. To change your Comment preferences:
- Go to your BLAST File.
- Click the Privacy tab.
- Check or uncheck the box 'Always post Comments anonymously' depending on your preference.

The choice is yours. You have the option to post a Free Comment anonymously or not.

No. At this time, agreeing with a BLAST is not an anonymous function. When you click on Agree, your user name and picture will be posted as someone who Agrees with the BLAST.

No. At this time, disagreeing with a BLAST is not an anonymous function. When you click on Disagree, your user name and picture will be posted as someone who Disagrees with the BLAST.

Your BLAST File will not be shown to any other User or Member regardless of whether or not you are a Fearless Member.
- If you choose to remain a Private Member, the only information available to Users and Members of the site is your name and photo, indicating you are a Member of the site.
- For those who choose to be Fearless Members, your name and photo will be visible to Users and Members and your BLAST Feed will only be visible to other Fearless Members.

When you are listed as the recipient of a BLAST, those fastBLASTs you chose in fastBLAST Favorites will be highlighted indicating to the Member sending the BLAST that those are your favorite fastBLASTs.

Yes, when you choose to BLAST someone anonymously, the recipient of your BLAST will not know who the BLAST came from. Try it - send one to yourself and see it really is anonymous.

A megaBLAST allows you to type in whatever text you want to send or, we like to say, BLAST to the recipient.

Initially, only the recipient will see the megaBLAST you sent them. If the recipient of the megaBLAST is a Fearless Member who chooses to show the megaBLAST on their own BLAST Feed, then any other Fearless Member will be able to view the megaBLAST while viewing that Members' BLAST Feed.

A fastBLAST allows you to choose from existing BLAST statements that were created for your enjoyment.

The highlighted fastBLASTs indicate that the recipient of the BLAST has chosen it as a favorite fastBLAST. Not every Member will have chosen favorites; therefore you will not always see BLASTs that are highlighted.

The recipient and any other Fearless Member (if the recipient Member is a Fearless Member too) can immediately see the fastBLAST you send.

Yes. You can combine megaBLASTs and fastBLASTs to create a unique BLAST each time.

There is no limit - you can add as many as you want. Keep in mind though; the person who receives the BLAST needs to read it. If you send too many at once, it may be difficult for the person to understand what you are trying to BLAST about.

If you are a Member, you can track the BLASTs you send in your BLAST Tracker. One of the features of your BLAST Tracker is to reveal when the BLAST you sent was read.
You can also set up your notifications so that you are sent an email when the BLAST you sent is read. To change your notification preferences:

BLAST Book is your address book for BLASTabout. It is a listing of people you want to interact with on BLASTabout. It is not limited to only Members, so you can add anyone with an email address to your BLAST Book. It's a convenient way to store their names so you can interact with them easily - when you want to BLAST them, view their BLAST Feeds or suggest a Page to them.

There are several ways to add someone to your BLAST Book:
- To add contacts from your email account:
- Go to BLAST Book.

- Choose which email provider you use (such as Gmail or Yahoo!).

When the BLAST Book link is faded opaque, it means that you have already added that Member to your BLAST Book. You can only add a Member to your BLAST Book once.

Only Members will have convenience icons next to their names. Anyone in your BLAST Book, who is not a Member, will have only their name displayed

There are two main reasons that you can't find someone in a search:
- The person is simply not a Member of the site so their name would not appear in a search.
- The person is a Member of the site, but the Member chose to use different name than you are accustomed to calling them. If this is the case, you may have to contact that person directly to learn if they are a Member and/or how they entered their name when signing up.

No.

A Public Page is similar to a Member page only it's for celebrities, public figures, organizations, businesses and/or products.
